Before calling us, try sending yourself a test email and take note of the error code or use a free mail tester tool (there are plenty online but this is a great one www.mail-tester.com) to see if messages are getting through and what might be the issue. If things still aren’t working, don’t worry, our tech team can jump in, diagnose the problem, and get you back up and running quickly.
Thankfully, this shouldn't happen with us as we have a robust downtime checker for our server, and option daily web monitoring, but if you are with someone else and scrambling for answers first, try checking your website on a different device or network ( your phone on 3G instead of WIFI) it might just be a local connection issue. If it’s definitely down, don’t worry. We offer emergency support for critical problems, so you won’t be left waiting until the next day. On the contact us page, there is an emergency chat!
Browsers show a clear warning when there’s an issue with a site’s SSL certificate because they can’t verify the site is secure. You might see messages like:
Chrome: “Your connection is not private” (often with errors such as NET::ERR_CERT_DATE_INVALID, NET::ERR_CERT_COMMON_NAME_INVALID, or NET::ERR_CERT_AUTHORITY_INVALID).
Safari: “This Connection Is Not Private” or “Safari can’t verify the identity of the website.”
If it’s not your website or you’re not sure what the warning means, don’t proceed ..it could put your data at risk.
The most common reason you’ll see this is that an SSL certificate has expired. An SSL certificate is what tells your computer a website is safe to visit, and if it runs out, the browser will block access. Certificates are usually set up either through your hosting provider or where you bought your domain (for example, GoDaddy or similar).
The good news? It’s normally a quick fix. We can guide you through renewing the certificate, help you set up auto-renew so it doesn’t happen again, or take care of the process for you if you’d prefer. Either way, you’ll be back online safely in no time.
Don’t panic! it happens more often than you think! Firstly, do us a favour and clear your browser cache, as this can sometimes make your website look a little odd after changes. If it’s still not right, just reach out to us and we’ll take a look. We can fix the issue directly or guide you step-by-step to get everything back to normal.
This is really common! First, check that your email signature doesn’t have too many links or large attachments, as these can trigger spam filters!
If it keeps happening, we can dig deeper by checking your domain’s email settings (like SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records) to make sure your emails are properly verified. That way, your messages are more likely to land in the inbox where they belong.
